Obituary

Geneva- William J. “Jerry” Wall, Jr., age 62, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018.

Friends may call Saturday (August 11th) from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. Burial will be in Little Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his friends, Jim Christensen, Dusty Slentz, Jeff Ripley, John Tyler, Mike Bloss and Fred Kracksly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Flight Central, 2420 Brickyard Rd., Canandaigua, NY 14424; Humane Society of Yates County, 1216 Rte. 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527; and to F.F.A. c/o PYCS, 1 School Dr.., Penn Yan, NY 14527.

Jerry was son of the late William J. Wall, Sr. and Emily A. Dobbs Wall.

Jerry worked at the J. Edward Davie Farm for 44 years. Prior to that, he worked for Harold Fredericksen. Jerry enjoyed restoring Farmall tractors, and collecting toy tractors, toy trucks and toy semi-trucks. He also enjoyed fishing.

Jerry was a person who was there to help anyone, anytime. You didn’t even need to ask, and he would be there. Jerry did things as he saw fit, his own way. He lived outside the box. He was a wonderful husband, brother and a wonderful friend to all he met.

Jerry is survived by three brothers, Joe (Grace) Wall of FL, John (Billy Joe) Wall of FL and George (Evelyn) Wall of FL; two nieces, Carrieann (Nathan) Wall and Sarah Wall, both of FL; two brothers-in-law, Gary Rogers of Seneca Falls and Alan “Buck” Rogers of Geneva; and one sister-in-law, Lori (Don) DePillo of Penn Yan; nieces and nephews, Scott and Bryan Rogers, Seth and Brook Rogers and Chris, Matt and Jason Rogers; two aunts, Connie and Gerry; one uncle, Jim Parker and many cousins and numerous friends.

Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Linda R. Wall on Oct. 21, 2009; his nephew, J.R. Wall; and his brothers-in-law, John Rogers and Mark Rogers.
