Obituary
Potter- Walter Chester Hobart, age 66, died Thursday, July 25, 2019 at F.F.Thompson Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday (August 24th) from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Potter Fire Hall. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 3 p.m. at Nettle Valley Cemetery.

Walter was born January 25,1953 in Penn Yan, NY. He was the only child of Loretta Mae Washburn Hobart and the late Walter Ernest Hobart. Walter. Walter attended Marcus Whitman Central School. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on October 6, 1970, and was Honorably Discharged on October 6, 1972.
Walter was a truck driver for many years. He moved back to Potter in 2002. Walter had many friends in the Mennonite community.
Walter is survived by his mother, Loretta Mae Hobart; one son, Roy Hobart Halstead; two grandchildren, Shawn and Brooke; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Walter was predeceased by his father, Walter Ernest Hobart; and his son, Shawn Michael Hobart.
