Obituary
Canandaigua/Vine Valley- Wade R. “Pud” Button, age 80, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017.
Friends may call Saturday (Dec. 2nd) from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. at the Middlesex United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Middlesex United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 116, Middlesex, NY 14507; or to the Middlesex Valley Volunteer Ambulance, 817 Rte. 245, Middlesex, NY 14507.
Pud was born August 9, 1937, the son of the late Leon G. and Mabel Shane Button. He was a graduate of the Middlesex Valley Central School, Class of 1955.
On Aug. 31, 1957, he married Sandra Voorhees at the Middlesex United Methodist Church. He was employed at Emerson Produce for several years, and then at Eastman Kodak for 30 years, retiring in 1991.
Pud was a member of the Vine Valley United Methodist Church, the Rushville Masonic Lodge #377, the Stanley Lodge #434 I.O.O.F., and the Middlesex Conservation Club.
Pud was involved in farming for several years, with his son, Terry. He enjoyed snowmobiling on Tug Hill and at Yellowstone National Park. He also enjoyed hunting, traveling, NASCAR, the New York Yankees and the Syracuse Orange basketball team.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra; three sons, Terry (Debbie Mack) and family, Robert (Clare) and family, and Michael (Rondi); one daughter, Susan Button; two grandsons, Leon and Bob; one granddaughter, Bryn; two sisters, Anne Arnold and Marilyn Cornish; ; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Button and Nancy Hey; brother-in-law, Dudley (Percy) Voorhees; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pud was predeceased by his brother, Leon; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Arnold and Sam Cornish.
