Geneva- Virginia Hazel York, age 88, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Honoring Virginia’s wishes there will be no prior calling hours or services.

A private burial will take place at Sand Hill Cemetery.

Virginia was born on January 21, 1935 in Stanley, NY to the late Robert V. York and Leah D. York. She was a graduate of Geneva High School.

For many years Virginia owned and operated her hair salon business, located at her home in Stanley, NY.

Virginia is survived by her nephew and wife, Richard G. Jantzen and Sandra B. Jantzen of Stanley; nephew and wife, Robert C. Jantzen and Valeri B. Jantzen of Victor and niece, Susan Y. Jones of Columbus, GA; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Virginia was predeceased by her parents, Robert V. York and Leah D. York;

brother and wife, Gordon D. York and Phyllis L. York; sister and husband, Margaret Y. Hilton and N. Kyle Hilton; sister and husband, Dorothy Y. Jantzen and Garth M. Jantzen; and nieces, Patricia Y. Clarke and Deborah J. York.
