Obituary
Geneva- Vincent P. DeBoover, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 14th from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Private Funeral Service will follow, with burial in Little Church Cemetery.
The DeBoover family invites friends to join them for a reception at the Stanley Fire Department, starting at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Fund, Living Center North, 196 North St., Geneva, NY 14456.
Vince was born on Jan. 3, 1931 to the late Peter and Florence DeBoover. He was a graduate of Geneva High School and Alfred State College. Vince spent most of his life on the family farm. He and his wife of 70 years, Janet, spent many winters at their home in Lakeland, Florida.
Vince was a member of the Ontario County Farm Bureau, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Association, the Hector Grazing Association and the Finger Lakes 2-Cylinder Club. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish.
Vince is survived by his wife, Janet DeBoover; four children, Louise Turner, Ronald (Martha) DeBoover, Allen DeBoover and Marie (Jerry) Hoover; six grandchildren, Jessica (Adrian) Gauss, David (Tracy) DeBoover, Daniel (Audrey) DeBoover, Theresa (Teo Courtney) DeBoover, Emily (Nick) Gillett and Michaela Hoover; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Vince was predeceased by his son-in-law, Glenn Turner; his brother and sister-in-law, George and Viola DeBoover; and his nephew, Fred DeBoover.
