Obituary
Canandaigua- Valerie Barnhardt, 60, died Oct. 4, 2015, at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Friends may call Saturday (Oct. 17th) from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service follows at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Rushville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley-Gorham-Hall Ambulance, P.O. Box 41, Gorham, NY 14461; or to the Gorham Fire Dept., P.O. Box 174, Gorham, NY 14461.
Valerie was the daughter of the late Raymond Chappelle and Betty Mitchell. She had worked for J.C. Penney for several years, but was mainly a full-time homemaker. Valerie loved the out-of-doors, especially the Potter State Lands. She loved camping, hunting and fishing. For relaxation, Valerie enjoyed coloring.
Valerie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roger; daughter, Tammy (Corey) Kolz; three granddaughters, Mackenzie, Adrianna and Dalanie Kolz; brother, John Chappelle and sister, Ramona (George) Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra (Richard) Helstrom, Dorene (Charles0 Frost, Veralyn Noble, Elaine Johnson, Geraldine Frere, Robert (Sandra Hill) Barnhardt, Katrina (Michael) Calkins and Lisa (Scott) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
