Obituary
Gorham – Timothy Winfield Goodall, age 73, died on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at his home.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Yates County, 1215 Rte. 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527; or a Humane Society of the donor’s choice.
Tim was born November 6, 1944 in Newark, NY. He was the son of the late Lancing Goodall and Thelma Wallace Goodall. Tim served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He enlisted in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1966 as a Lance Corporal.
Tim was a tattooed, cursing, motorcycle riding, former Marine. A burnt marshmallow, bitter and rough around the edges, yet soft and sweet on the inside. His voice carried. One low, rumbling “Hey!” from him would stop you in your tracks, but as his grandchildren discovered over the years, his bark was always worse than his bite.
His heart was always in the right place. He had so much love and respect for Lora, who had taken on the roll of his nurse, while also holding his hand as his wife.
Tim could engineer awesome things out of other’s junk. He was always tinkering and building. He built a playground for the grandkids that still stands strong.
Tim is survived by his wife, Lora Snyder. He was a loving brother, father and grandfather.
