Obituary
Rushville- Teddy Roger Read, age 55, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024.
Friends may call on Monday, May 13 from 4-6 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A memorial Service will follow calling hours at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to: the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 or to, Golisano Children’s Hospital, 150 Crittenden Blvd., Rochester, NY 14642.
Teddy was born on May 10, 1968, a son of Jack and Constance Thompson Read. He was a graduate of Marcus Whitman School District. Teddy was employed by Tradition Ford in Newark. He loved hunting, fishing, race cars and his Buffalo Bills. Teddy enjoyed bowling and every time he got a strike he would shout “Booyah”. He was a lovable “big kid” who had a huge heart and smile. Teddy was willing to help anyone in need and would give the shirt off his back.
Teddy is survived by his son, Matthew Read; grandson, Logan Michael Read; his mother, Connie Read; siblings, Thomas (Maggie) Read, Tracey Read and Brandi (Shawn) Robenolt; aunts, Cheryl (Tom) Bonetti and Linda Read; uncle, Robert Thompson; a special friend, Blane Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Teddy was predeceased by his father, Jack Read; and his brother, Timothy H. Read.
