Obituary

Geneva, Steven L. Wilson, age 55, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Friends may call Tuesday (July 19th) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ontario County Humane Society, 4976 Co. Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Steven was born Jan. 5, 1967 in Geneva, NY. He graduated from Marcus Whitman Central School. Steven had been an auto mechanic.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with friends.

Steven is survived by his father, Ronald (Lorraine Keys) Hinman; sister, Kim (James) Oaks of Iowa and brothers, Mark (Kelly) Wilson of Rushville and Daniel (Lisa) Hinman of Farmington; aunt, Donna (Lou) Bruno of Florida; cousins, Dr. Dean (Dr. Elizabeth) Bruno of North Carolina and William King of Hammondsport.

Steven was predeceased by his mother, Louise Pask Springer; his step-father, Fred Wilson; brother, Timothy Schuppenhauer; and grandparents, Olin and Alice Hinman and Harold and Helen Pask..

"Whiskey bottles....and brand new cars....oak tree you're in my way." Steve and I both liked that song. He was my friend. I'll think of him every time I hear Lynrd Skynyrd, and I'll miss him.
