Obituary
Clifton Springs – Stephen A. Wright passed away on February 20, 2017 at Rochester General Hospital at the age of 61.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Steve’s life on Saturday, March 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home, 2583 Main Street, Gorham. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Steve worked as a sales specialist at HEP Sales/North Main Lumber for 15 years until his retirement in 2016. He had previously been employed by Farnsworth Chevrolet, Santelli Lumber and Wicks Lumber.
Steve was the son of Betty Dailey of Canandaigua. He graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1975. Steve enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards with family and friends in his spare time. He also enjoyed woodworking and very often made personal gifts for Christmas giving. Steve was quick with a joke and always had a story to share.
Steve was predeceased by his loving wife of 33 years, Bonnie (Swarthout) Wright and sister Donna Slocum. He is survived by their son, Stephen Wright and step-son Shawn (Sondra) Young; grandsons Michael and Kyle Young; brothers Ronald McMillan, Larry Wright, Frank Dobbler, Stanley Wright and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to assist with funeral costs may be made to his son, Stephen A. Wright, 36 Stephens Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
