Obituary
Geneva- Sondra M. Swarthout, age 78, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. She died of natural causes.
Friends may call on Sunday (Feb. 21) from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A private Funeral Service will be held following calling hours at 4 p.m.
Burial will be in Little Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Sondra was the daughter of the late Virgil and Isabelle Bernard. She was a Registered Nurse who worked in the Group Homes of the NYS DDSO in Newark, NY. “Sandy” was a member of the Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes. After retirement, she and her husband, Larry, enjoyed 13 winters in Florida. She was a member of the Hall Card Club and the Red Hat Society.
“Sandy” is survived by her husband, Lawrence E. “Larry” Swarthout; 7 children, Julie (Rick) LaRose, H. Lynn (Victoria) Swarthout, David (Cindy) Freeland, Susan (David) Willson, Kathy (Csaba) Nyiri, Kelly (Martin) Miller and Michael (Dawn) Swarthout; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Lusk; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dog, Casey.
“Sandy” was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Annie Eider; and three brothers-in-law, William Waren Swarthout, Kenneth Russell Swarthout and Roger Eider.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff that took care of Sondra at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home.
