Obituary
Gorham/Crystal Beach- Shirley J. Miles, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 27, 2022.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday (Dec. 1st) from 10 to 12 Noon at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Funeral Service will follow at Noon.
Burial will be in Rose Ridge Cemetery, Naples.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456.
Shirley was born on Feb. 19, 1936, daughter of the late Malon and Eva Newland Gavette. She worked at the Lincoln Hill Inn for 10 years. Shirley enjoyed watching the birds and deer from her front window. She also enjoyed watching TV.
Shirley is survived by 7 children, Charles, Jeffrey, John and Gary Miles, Cindy Sanderson, Brenda Hampton and Joan (Michael Lemke) Mason; sister, Ada Lead; former son-in-law, Ronald Sanderson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edward C. Miles; her daughter, Pamela S. Miles; son-in-law, Joseph Hampton; and 9 siblings.
