Rushville – Shirley G. Williams age 93, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (July 10th) at 2 p.m. at the Rushville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rushville Cemetery.

Shirley was born Dec. 27, 1927 in Canandaigua, NY. She was the daughter of the late Murry Gage and Nellie Stark Gage. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Oliver S. Williams, Jr. in 1986.
Active in both her community and her church, Shirley was a member of the Rushville United Methodist Church. She was a former member and past-Matron of the Fen-o-go-wone Chapter of the Eastern Star. Shirley was a volunteer at the Middlesex Valley Elementary Building and at the Rushville Library. She was also a trustee at the Middlesex Reading Center.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Linda (Barb Becker) Williams Meza of Middlesex; sons, Oliver S. “Bill” (Lynn) Williams III of Rushville, and Alan Lewis Williams, of Rushville; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Oliver S. Williams, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Mary Lee Williams; two brothers, Marvin Gage and Kenneth Gage; and three sisters, Dorothy Madsen, Doris Norman and Eleanor Clauss.
