Obituary
Branchport- Sheila Kay Ayers, age 67, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
Sheila’s family will have a Celebration of her life at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Yates County, PO Box 102, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Sheila was born June 30, 1955 in Penn Yan, NY to the late Floyd and Barbara Van Housen. She married Albert A. Ayers, Jr. on September 2, 1972.
Sheila was a full-time homemaker, who lived for her kids and grandkids. She also loved flower gardening and watching and feeding the birds.
Sheila is survived by her husband of 50 years, Albert A. Ayers, Jr.; three children, Michael (Jennifer) Ayers, Tonya (Jason Bassett) Ayers and Robert (Nicole Shuck) Ayers; seven grandchildren, Garrett Ayers, Caleb Ayers, Payton Ayers, Tyler (Morgan O’Bryan) Ayers, Kyle Fairbrother, Kendra Fairbrother and Brooklyn Ayers; one great-granddaughter, Makenzie Kay Ayers; sister, Patsy (Rick Ulrick) Van Housen; brother, David Van Housen; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sheila was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Garry; and her sister, Nancy.
