Obituary
Rushville- Ronald Wayne Swartwood, age 74, passed away at home on Monday, May 10, 2021.
Friends may call on Saturday (May 15th) from 1-3 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service will follow the calling hours at 3 p.m., with full Military Honors.

Ron was born on February 4, 1947, to the late Barbara Coates. He attended Gorham High School. Ron served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving 3 tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the Naples V.F.W., the Shortsville American Legion, the Rushville Hose Co. and was a past member of the Rushville Lions Club. Ron enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting and horse shoes.
Ron is survived by his son, Nathan (Jillian Woodard) Swartwood; his partner, Gail Waydelis; 5 grandchildren, Ethan Michael and Lucas James Swartwood, and Alyssa, Rachel and Julia Allen; his aunt, Minnie Claudius; several sisters and a brother; several brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousin, Sandie (Ron) Buckley.
Ron was predeceased by his wife, Carol Martin Swartwood on April 4, 2012.
