Obituary
Middlesex- Roland Alfred “Ron” Brink, age 79, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the V.A. Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.
Friends may call on Wednesday (Nov. 2nd) from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Middlesex Hose Company, P.O. Box 145, Middlesex, NY 14507.
Ron was born in Prattsburg, NY on December 22, 1936. He was the son of the late Theresa (Elwell) and Spencer Brink. Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked for Canandaigua Motors as a salesman for many years. Ron had been a member of the Middlesex Hose Co. since 1968.
Ron is survived by two children, Theresa (Thomas) Smith and Amy (Kevin Hunter) McLaughlin; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Gordon (Mary) Brink and Edith Atwater; special friend, Patricia McCall; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Theresa and Spencer Brink; wife, Janice Brink; son, Donald J. Brink; two grandsons, Tom Smith and Tim Smith; one granddaughter, Deanna McLaughlin; one great-grandson, Kevin James Smith; and one brother, Clyde S. Brink.
