Obituary
Clifton Springs- Roger L. Eider, 79, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Clifton Springs Hospital Nursing Home.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday (June 7th) at 1 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. Rev. Lynn Spence will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Clifton Springs.

Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Roger was one of thirteen children of the late John and Ethel Bahr Eider. Roger served for two years in the U.S. Air Force. He married Ann Swarthout on June 28, 1958 in the Seneca Castle United Methodist Church.
Roger retired from Silver Floss Foods/Comstock Foods after 32 years of service. Over the years he had worked part-time for Surge, Shell Gas Station, Shuron Optical, as a mail courier for the Ontario National Bank, and at the Manchester Transfer Station.
Roger was a member of the Hall Card Club, and the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church.
Roger is survived by three children, Penny Eider, JoAnn (Douglas) Mowery and Richard (Liza) Eider; four grandchildren, Chris Mowery, Daniel Mowery, Connor Eider and Colton Eider; two sisters, Shirley Smith and Leotta (Jim) Hollingsworth; brother-in-law, Larry (Sandi) Swarthout; and many nieces and nephews.
Roger was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Ann Eider; and by three sisters, Pearl, Hazel and Frances; and seven brothers, Jimmy, Bob, Ronnie, Farrell, Raymond, Gerald and Duane.
