Obituary

Stanley- Roger B. Allen, age 82, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023.

Friends may call on Friday, June 30, from Noon until 2 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A funeral service will be held following calling hours at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Little Church Cemetery

Memorial Contributions can be made to Little Church Cemetery, P.O. Box 117, Hall, NY 14463 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14620.

Roger was born on October 1, 1940, a son of the late Burlin and Marion Hey Allen. He was a graduate of Gorham Central School, Class of 1959. Roger loved farming and was a farmer all of his adult life. He was a very hard worker. Roger was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout, the Farm Bureau, the FFA and the Gorham Rotary Club. Roger loved country music and played guitar and sang in a band in his younger years.

Roger is survived by a son, Marty (Tammy) Allen; 3 daughters, Cheryl (Ted) Tompkins, Amy (Kevin) Eagley and Mary (Ron) Bush; 8 grandchildren, Jon (Haley) Eagley, Ryan (Hannah) Eagley, Matthew (Ezra) Tompkins, Mark Tompkins, Kyle Allen, Nathan Allen and 2 granddaughters; 3 great-grandchildren, Brycen, Everlee and Brody Eagley; a brother, Larry (Mary Ellen) Allen; sister-in-law, Sharon Allen; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Roger was predeceased by his parents; his wife Lily Ann Phillips Allen and a brother James Allen.
