Hall – Robert M. Johnston, Jr., age 82, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.
Services will be at a later date.

Bob was born June 21, 1939 to the late Robert Sr. and Margaret Johnston. As a younger man, Bob had worked for Castle Harvester, where he helped invent and build the first cabbage harvester. He also had worked at Waldo’s Hardware in Hall. Bob was a lifetime woodworker, who operated Bob’s Hardwood Shop.
Bob’s passion was hunting. He was a true North American big game hunter, who had traveled throughout North America to hunt bear, moose, caribou and other game.
Bob is survived by three children, Susan (Paul) Barnes, Robert Johnston III and James (Colleen) Johnston; five grandchildren, Mathew Cripps, Katherine (Jordan Blakesley) Cripps, Nicholas Barnes, James Johnston and Lindsey Johnston; one great-grandson, Jayden Blakesley; and extended family and friends.
Bob was predeceased by his sister, Gail Hansen and his brother, Jerry Johnston.
