Obituary

Middlesex/Potter- Raymond Vance “Ray” Caldwell, age 69, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Friends may call on Saturday, November 2nd from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A memorial service will follow calling hours at 1 p.m.

Ray was born on August 30th, 1955, a son of the late Lawrence William and Patricia Gribble Caldwell. Ray was a genuinely caring person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, even if that meant leaving nothing for himself. His selfless character led to him to “adopt” people into his family even though they weren’t his own blood. He enjoyed preparing and smoking briskets to share with his family, adopted or not. Ray was very intelligent and had an incredible knowledge base on many things. He was a jack of all trades and anyone who knew him knows that he provided valuable insight on most anything one could ask. His positive influence will forever remain in the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ray is survived by his son, Jordan Hile; 5 brothers, Larry (Sheri) Caldwell, Jack Caldwell, Bob (Kelly) Caldwell, Brad (Debbie) Caldwell and Tim(Lynette) Caldwell; 1 sister, Corky Caldwell; his extended family, the Rosato Family; as well as several nieces nephews and cousins.

Ray was predeceased by his parents and sister in-law Sheri.
