Obituary
Potter- Phyllis Kay Thompson, age 81, passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
A private burial will be in Shuman Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620.
Phyllis was the daughter of the late Paul Sylvester Black and Gladys Kay Kreppenneck Black. She was a graduate of Gorham Central School.
Phyllis was a Nurse’s Aide at Geneva General Hospital until her retirement.
Phyllis married Lewis G. Thompson on Feb. 18, 1961. She was devoted to her family. Phyllis was an animal lover. She enjoyed reading. Phyllis was a member of Pathway Community Church in Canandaigua.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis; two sons, David (Charletta) Thompson of Pennsylvania, and Jeff (Lori) Thompson of Potter; one daughter, Susan Thompson of Keuka Park; 15 grandchildren, Paul (Sarah) Thompson, Rebecca (Christopher) Noa, Sara Beth Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, Rachel (Daniel) Shingler, Anna (Curtis) Knowlden, Isaac Thompson, Bethany Thompson, Naomi Thompson, Abigail Thompson, Jeffrey (Emily) Thompson, Kyle (Emily) Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Samuel Thompson and Hannah Thompson; 22 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Roger (Pauline) Thompson.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents; one grandson, Benjamin Thompson; sister, Joyce; sister-in-law, Connie Thompson; and brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Elaine Adams.
