Obituary

Gorham- Philip Andrew Allen, age 58, died Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Friends may call Saturday (Jan. 20th) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday (Jan. 21st) at 2 p.m. at the Gorham United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.
A reception will be held at the Gorham Fire House following the service.

Phil was born August 18, 1959 in Geneva, NY. He graduated in 1977 with the first class of Marcus Whitman High School. Phil was owner-operator of Phil Allen Trucking. He was dispatched by Leonard’s Express. Phil and his wife, Lianne, were owners of the Gorham Market, since January of 2016.

Phil enjoyed working in his shop, and doing yard work. But Phil was first and foremost a family man. He faithfully followed his children’s and then his grandchildren’s activities. Phil had attended one of his grandson’s basketball games the night of his death.

Phil is survived by his wife, Lianne Allen; three children, Jennifer (Tom) Ewing, Amanda (Matthew) Angell and Philip Allen, II; step-son, Joshua Hey; and 7 grandchildren, Ty Andrew Arnold, Colleen Ewing, Shannon Ewing, Kaylee Angell, Rylan Angell, Laybrie, and David Hey.

Phil is also survived by his mother, E. Anne Allen; his father, Wilbur (Joyce Deery) Allen; one sister, Susan (James) Dailey; two brothers, Don (Sandy) Allen and Doug (Pam) Allen; his father and mother-in-law, Dave and Diane Smith; sister-in-law, Tammy (Ted) Kaminski; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.

Phil was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Ward and Elizabeth Emerson; and his paternal grandparents, Stuart and Ruth Allen.
