Obituary
Rushville- Paulette D. Willemsen, age 63, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Wilmot Cancer Center, surrounded by family and friends.
Friends may call Friday (April 20th) from 4 to 8 p.m. at King’s Catering and Party House, 4031 Rtes. 5 & 20, Canandaigua, NY. A
Celebration of Life Service, officiated by Bishops Andrew Binda and Steven Smith, will be held Saturday (April 21st) at 9 a.m. at King’s.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flint Creek Church of God, 3584 Flint Rd., Stanley, NY 14561.
Paulette was a 1973 graduate of Marion High School. On June 30, 1973, she married Russell I. Willemsen. She was the “First Lady” of the Flint Creek Church of God for 38 years. Paulette was on the Women’s Discipleship Board for the NY State Church of God.
Paulette was the Administrative Assistant of the Dean of the Education Department at Keuka College. She was a member of the Staff Advisory Council at Keuka College, and was voted the Supervisor of the Year at Keuka on April 11th.
Paulette’s family was her world. She was considered a 2nd Mom of many of her children’s friends, and of many Keuka students. Her chocolate chip cookies were legendary.
Paulette is survived by her husband of 44 years, Russell I. Willemsen, Sr.; three children, Autumn (Robbie) O’Bryan, Anthony
Willemsen and Russell (Sarah) Willemsen, Jr.; four grandchildren, Tatum O’Bryan, Lily Katherine O’Bryan, Anthony “A.J.” Willemsen, Jr., and Jaxson Willemsen; her father, Paul D. Mooney; four sisters, Lynda (Richard) Billings, Laura (Jerry) Storey, Kathy Boerman and Peggy (Robert) Dentico; two sisters-in-law, Karen Willemsen and Becky Collins; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Willemsen and Brian Willemsen; and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Paulette was predeceased by her mother, Catherine Mooney; brother, Paul Mooney, Jr., nephew, Richard Billings, Jr. and in-laws, Isaac A. and Dolores E. Willemsen.
