Obituary
Rushville- Patrick H. Devlin, age 63, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
Friends may call Thursday (May 17th) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Penn Yan Bible Church. A Funeral Service will follow at 6 p.m. A reception will be held at the church after the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Yan Bible Church, 2015 Kimball Rd., Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Pat grew up in Shortsville. He graduated from Red Jacket Central School. He was the owner and operator of Devlin Builders.
Pat was a hard worker, who loved life. He taught his children and grandchildren to appreciate nature and the importance of hard work. Pat was a wonderful husband and father. Loving, kind and compassionate, he was selfless, always putting others’ needs before his own.
Pat is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jody; three children, Regina Lee (Todd) Lynd, Todd Devlin and Erick John Devlin; seven grandchildren, Arielle Rose (Blake Bishop) Lynd and Dennis Patrick Daniel Lynd; Holden Costlow; Maddison Jozette Devlin, MacKenzie Alexis Devlin, Alexander O’Shay Devlin and Sophia Katherine Turner.
Pat is also survived by five siblings, Michael (Noreen) Devlin, Tim (Joanne) Devlin, John (Judy) Devlin, Jackie Crane and Pam (John) Adams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard “Butch” Sarquist, Freeman (Jennifer) Housel, John (Kathy) Housel, Ellen (Jim) Johnson, Linda (Bert) Dailey, Dawn (Brian) Brown, Karl Housel and Orrin Housel; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat is also survived by many dear friends, and his sweet pup, Miss Cora.
Pat was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Charlotte Devlin; sisters, Ruth Sarquist and Mae Devlin; and his sister-in-law, Paula Wright.
