Obituary
Middlesex- Orion Brown Newell, age 95, died on November 10, 2016.
Friends may call Thursday, (Nov. 17th) from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m.at the Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Overackers Cemetery.

Orion was the son of the late Cecil Newell and Verna Hadsell Newell. He graduated from Middlesex Valley Central School in 1939. Orion was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during WWII and the Korean War. He retired from the Marcus Whitman Central School.
Orion was a member of the Middlesex United Methodist Church, the Penn Yan Elks Club and the Rushville Masonic Lodge, Middlesex Conservation Club and the Middlesex Heritage Group. Orion was a past commander of the V.F.W., Robson Savage Post.
Orion is survived by son; Kevin (Kim) Newell; grandson, Justice Newell; daughter-in-law, Barbara Newell; step-children, Roger (Carol) Mack, Karen (Bob) Webster, Sandra (Ron) Williams and Janice (Gary) Wald; and several step-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by first wife, Ada Phyllis Newell; second wife, Verona Mack Newell; and son, Craig Newell.
