Obituary
Gorham/Rushville- Norman Charles Green, age 71, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023.
Friends may call on Saturday (Feb. 25th) from 1-4 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Reception will follow at the Gorham Fire Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Gorham Fire Company, 4676 Kearney Rd., Stanley, NY 14561.
Norm was born under a rock on February 14, 1951 to the late Charles H. and Teresa Smith Green. He was a graduate of Marcus Whitman Central School and the School of Hard Knocks. Norm was a lifetime member of the Gorham Fire Co. He was a tremendous history buff, who would always win Trivial Pursuit. Norm enjoyed his old black and white movies, especially Sci-Fi’s. More than anything, he loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Norm is survived by his children, Kimberly (Chris) Wertman, Karen Green and Kyle Green; 3 grandchildren, Trey Phaon Wertman, Drew Wertman and Gabe Wertman; 2 sisters, Annette Hoban and Ellen Van Keuren; 1 brother, Dennis (Linda) Green; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and an uncle.
Norm was predeceased by his parents, the mother of his children, Judy Green; 1 brother, Allan Green; and 3 brothers-in-law, Robin Kindelberger, Pat Hoban and Rich Van Keuren.

We were so lucky to be such good friends with Norman for so many years. He and Joe loved to heckle each other. (And yes every Trivial Pursuit game we played with Norman and Judy was won by Norman!) We will really miss you Norman. To all of Norman's family, you are always in our hearts.

I was sad to hear of the loss of Norm. We go back a long ways, high school, Alfred State, and hanging out in Gorham. He was a good friend to all and always ready to help.
