Hall- She was preceded in death by her husband, George Middleton; step-daughter, Ann Middleton Peters; step-son, John R. Middleton;, step-grandson, Tres Middleton; and step-brother, James Elkins.

Norma Jean was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Benton, KY, an auxiliary member of Gideons International, an auxiliary member of Marshall County Hospital, and a member of NARFE.

Born July 8, 1929 in Dearborn, MI, she was raised in Marshall County, KY. Norma Jean lived in Washington, DC for 30 years where she worked for the Federal Government and retired in 1986. She moved back to KY in 1988.
Norma Jean’s parents were Reed and Emily (Lee) Jones and step-mother, Fannie Jones.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Missionary Baptist Church, 100 W. 13th St., Benton, KY 42025 or the The Gideons International, Marshall County Camp, P.O. Box 206, Benton, KY 42025.

Burial was in Little Church Cemetery, Stanley, NY.
A Funeral service was held on October 11, 2015 at Collier Funeral Chapel in Benton, KY .

Norma jean is survived by sister, Janice Jones Darnall, Benton, KY; step-sister, Joann Galloway, Calhoun, KY; step-brother, Bob Elkins, Benton, KY; daughter-in-law, Carol Middleton, Winston-Salem, NC; son-in-law, Bob Peters, Apopka, FL; step-granddaughter, Elisabeth Peters Myrick, and step great-grandchildren, Kendall and Jack Myrick, Sanford, FL; and several special nieces, nephews and cousins.
