Obituary
Canandaigua – Norma A. Jones, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (Dec. 29th) at 3 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home, 2583 E. Main St., Gorham, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tom Jones Athletic Award, 2615 Maple Ave., Palmyra, NY 14522.
Norma was born in Benton, NY, and was the daughter of the late Norman and Julia (Anderson) Hoose. She attended Gorham Central School. Norma was a homemaker for many years, before becoming a Home Health Aide.
Norma was so proud of her family, and especially loved family gatherings and celebrating special occasions, particularly the Jones Clan Family Christmas gathering. She enjoyed the change in seasons, watching old TV classics, and had a true passion for chocolate.
Norma is survived by five children, Linda Saracino, Kathy (James) Volpe, Matthew (Kathy) Jones, Sally (David) Helfer and Julie Henderson; son-in-law, Doug Minns; brother-in-law, Al Jones; 18 grandchildren, Scott (Jeanna) Savage, Abbie (Lance) Rearick, Jamie (Larry Hughes) Volpe, Jesse (Kristy) Volpe, Jonathan Volpe, Jillian Volpe, James Helfer, Joshua (Stephanie St. Clair) Helfer, Nicole (Matt) Tears, Danielle Jones, Zachary Jones, Olivia Jones, Lindsay (Rob) Craft, Thomas Minns, Susan (Peter) Pulver, Elizabeth (Donnie) Jensen, Colby Henderson and Dalton Henderson; and 27 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Norma was predeceased by her husband, Thomas H. Jones; daughter, Missy Minns; two grandchildren, J.J. Volpe and McKenna Jones; son-in-law, Pete Saracino; four sisters, Bet Keeley, Josie McNicholas, Doris Secor and Helen Melious; and three brothers, Whit Hoose, Jim Hoose and Don Hoose.
