Obituary

Potter-Middlesex- Nicholas A. “Nick“ DeMarzio, age 84, passed away peacefully of heart failure on Friday, March 17, 2023 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua New York. 

After taking an early retirement in 1994 from Mobil Chemical Company in Canandaigua, Nick had the opportunity to pursue his hobbies, which included hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing. Caregiver/provider/mentor to many; his family and friends could rely on him to be there in times of need, grief, and laughter. 

He is survived by his wife, Joan; two children, Wendy DeMarzio, and Vincent DeMarzio; four grandchildren, Tara (Len) Egan, Amber DeMarzio, Ricky (Angela) Rudy and Randy Rudy; 8 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Boyack, Skylar DeMarzio, Haili DeMarzio, Iggy Gonzalez, Shelby Rudy, Twins Piper and Willow Egan and Maverick Rudy; brother James (Ann) DeMarzio; sister-in-law, Charlotte DeMarzio; and several nieces and nephews.

Nick was predeceased by his parents James and Carmella (Liseno) DeMarzio; his son Danny and brother Robert. 

Friends may call Saturday, March 25th from 12 noon to 3 PM at the Kenneth J Perkins funeral home in Gorham. A Celebration of Life will begin at 4 PM at the Potter Fire Department on Phelps Road in Potter.

I’m so sorry for Nick’s passing. He will be sorely missed as the friend and caring neighbor we came to rely upon.
