Mason Steven McGuire
October 17th, 2012 ~ April 10th, 2021
Clifton Springs- Mason Steven McGuire, our little angel, beloved son of Christine and Steve McGuire and brother of Logan, went to be with the Lord on April 10th, 2021. Mason laughed and joked throughout his eight and a half years, bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched.
Friends may call on Thursday (Apr. 15th) from 1-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday (April 16th) at 11 a.m. at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church, 3360 Middle Cheshire Rd., Canandaigua. A private burial for family and close friends will follow. The family invites all who knew Mason to share memories and celebrate his life at a reception at The Moose Lodge in Penn Yan at 1 p.m. on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, Mason’s family asks that donations be made to the Clifton Springs YMCA where Mason spent many joyous times. Donations may be mailed to 5 Crane Street, Clifton Springs, NY or online at https://www.csaymca.org/make-a-donation.html under the “Honoring Mason McGuire” campaign.
“Masey Moo” was so many things to so many people- angel, unconditionally loving, always first to give a hug, everybody’s best friend, silly, class clown, fearless, strong inside and out, hard core savage LOL, ultimate gamer, and had an unbreakable, loving bond with his twin brother.
Mason loved playing with friends and cousins, attending various programs at the YMCA, playing video games with his brother, reading and learning about animals and people. He loved spending time with his special friends Sawyer, Miles, and “big brothers” Drew and Jake. His caregivers Aunt Kim, Mallory, Maggie, and Della had a very special place in his heart as well.
His memory will be carried on by his parents, Christine Marie (Graham) and Steven Edward McGuire; brother, Logan Nicholas McGuire; maternal grandparents, Nancy (Phalen) and Richard Allison, and Scott and Belinda (Johnson) Graham; paternal grandmother, Ellen Nye; great-grandfather, Robert Phalen and friend Geraldine Antheunis; aunts and uncles, Donald (Shareen) Graham, Bryan (Vicki) Allison, Tyler Graham, Ron McGuire and Audrey Long; along with an abundance of loving “aunts and uncles” and cousins.
He is now being loved and cared for by his deceased paternal grandfather, Steven McGuire (Papo); maternal great-grandparents, Doris Phalen, Donald and Barbara (Bunny) Graham, Baldy and Vivian Allison and Howard and Leta Sprague.
