Obituary
Stanley- Mary M. Acord, age 80, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, August 11, 2023.
There will be no public services.
Memorial contributions can be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice/UR Medicine, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456; or to Ontario County Humane Society “Happy Tails”, 2976 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
Mary was born on June 25, 1943, a daughter of the late William and Agnes Murray. Mary was married to the late George “Ted” W. Acord for 50 years.
Mary attended Gorham Central School. She was a homemaker who worked along side her husband, Ted, doing the bookkeeping for Acord Backhoe Service.
Mary adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a special friend to all of her children’s friends. Holidays and family functions were the highlight of her life.
Mary is survived by her son, Timothy (Leslie) Acord; two daughters, Joanne Hey and Julie Dunn; grandchildren, Courtney (Edwin) Lloyd, Derek Dunn, Morgan Hey, Abbey Hey and Austin Acord; great-grandchildren, Braelyn Lloyd, Masen Lloyd, Kaden Dunn and one expected in September; and her dog, Hank.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her dearest friends that she treasured, her hospice team, Dr. Dallmeyer, Lisa Tomion, RN and staff.

Mary was such a soft spoken dear herself. Very kind and loving every time we ran into her. She adored her family, cherished her friends and all her fur babies. Love to all of her family. Hoping your hearts will mend with the memories you will always have♥️

Julie, Joanie and Tim. Les and I were heart-broken to hear of your Mom’s passing. Mary and I were cousins. We texted and called each other often sharing and reminiscing about all our memories when we were growing up. My visits to Stanley and Mary’s visits to Honeoye Falls. She had a wonderful sense of humor and we had many laughs. She spoke often about how much she adored her children and grandchildren. Please know we are thinking of you and you are in our prayers.
