Obituary
Rushville- Linda Jean Christensen, age 66, died peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, on the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (Feb. 4th) at 3 p.m. at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Hall, NY. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Student Activities Fund of Gorham Elementary School, 4100 Baldwin Rd., Rushville, NY 14544.
Linda was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Jean Krebbeks DeWispelaere. She was a graduate of Newark High School and attended Finger Lakes Community College. Linda was a Teacher Assistant at the Gorham Elementary School, until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed gardening and was devoted to her family and her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband, James A. Christensen of Rushville; daughter, Amy (Mark) Sainsbury of Rushville; son, Jason Christensen of Austin, TX; 7 grandchildren, Kristopher Sennett, Benjamin Sennett, Kathryn Sennett, Madison Sainsbury, Ryder Christensen, Emma Sainsbury and Grace Sainsbury; two brothers, William (Cathy) DeWispelaere and Dennis DeWispelaere; mother-in-law, Erna Christensen; and several nieces and nephews.
