Lawrence E. “Larry” Swarthout

Hall- Lawrence E. “Larry” Swarthout, age 81, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 4, 2022. He died of natural causes.

Friends may call on Saturday (Feb. 19) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A private Funeral Service will be held following calling hours.

Burial will be in Little Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Larry was the son of the late Herman and Margaret Louise Swarthout.

He was retired from P&C Food Market in Penn Yan. Larry was a member of the Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes. After retirement, he and his wife, “Sandy”, enjoyed 13 winters in Florida. He was a member of the Hall Card Club.

Larry is survived by 7 children, Julie (Rick) LaRose, H. Lynn (Victoria) Swarthout, David (Cindy) Freeland, Susan (David) Willson, Kathy (Csaba) Nyiri, Kelly (Martin) Miller and Michael (Dawn) Swarthout; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry was predeceased by his wife, “Sandy” on Feb. 17, 2021; his sister, Annie (Roger) Eider; two brothers, William Warren Swarthout, Kenneth Russell Swarthout; and his dog, Casey.
