Obituary

Hall- Karen M. Lamanna, 66, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016.

Friends may call Sunday (Feb. 28th) from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service will be held Monday (Feb. 29th) at 11 a.m. at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ, 4823 Rte. 14A, Hall, NY 14463.

Karen was born in Geneva, NY. She was the daughter of the late Llewellyn H. Patrick and Dorothy Onderdonk Patrick. Karen was a graduate of Gorham High School and SUNY Potsdam. She taught elementary school classes for 23 years at the Gorham and Middlesex Valley buildings of Marcus Whitman Central School. Karen was a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association.

Karen was devoted to children and to her family. She loved to read to children, and to be read to. Karen enjoyed playing board games, and spending time with her grandchildren. She participated in Community Bible Study. Karen loved the holidays, and enjoyed hosting family gatherings. She spent summers at Keuka Lake for most of her life.

Karen is survived by her husband of 41 years, Frank P. Lamanna; four children, Lisa (Damon) Addleman, Philip (Amber) Lamanna, Rosi (Marshall) Statt and Angela (Jeff) Wisniewski; 8 grandchildren, Eden and Mehren Addleman, Adam, Elena and Cora Lamanna, Oliver and Maxwell Statt, and Elliot Wisniewski; brother, David (Linda) Patrick; two sisters, Donna Frankish and Kathy (Ron) Hinson; brother-in-law, Ralph (Judi) Lamanna; two cousins, Gail (Sam) Certo and Karol Ludaescher; and many nieces and nephews.

Karen was predeceased by her parents, Llewellyn and Dorothy Patrick; her brother-in-law, Dale Frankish; her father and mother-in-law, Paul and Sue Lamanna; and her brother and sister-in-law Rocco and Beverly Lamanna.
