Obituary
Stanley- Joanne Frey (Alley) died peacefully, with her family near, on May 29, 2018 in Canandaigua, NY due to complications following Pancreatic cancer. She was 75.
Joanne was born on December 22, 1942 in Elmira, NY to her parents, Richard and Lois Alley. She graduated from Allegheny College with a degree in Teaching in 1964. She married John Frey Jr. in 1984 . They resided in Stanley NY, where John worked their farm and Joanne worked as a Premium Auditor. She achieved her CPU, ATA and ARM certifications. Upon retiring, John and Joanne continued to travel around the country and spend their winters in Gulf Shores, AL. Joanne had close friends in both states, and she will be missed by all.
Joanne is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, John Frey Jr; her daughter, Barbara Philbrick; her son, David Card ( Hannah), her stepdaughter, Jenny Teeter, her stepson Jason Frey; her sister, Susan Lenander (Kevin), her brother, David Alley and by 10 well loved grandchildren. She was predeceased by both of her parents.
At her request, there was no prior calling. A celebration of life occurred on June 2, 2018 at her daughter’s home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Project Purple (www.projectpurple.org), funding research and support for those with Pancreatic Cancer.
