Jeanette E. Rothe

Middlesex/Kentucky – Jeanette E. Rothe, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Kentucky on Friday, November 25, 2022. 

An informal graveside service will be held on Saturday (Sept. 23) at 11 a.m. at the Rushville Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Michael B. Frey of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Daniel M. Frey of Paintsville, Kentucky; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister, Susan (William) Button, brother, Peter (Susan) Rothe, and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son, Aaron M. Frey.

Jeanette (“Jan”) was born to Cleo L. and Lenora M. Rothe and was raised in Middlesex, graduating from Middlesex Valley Central School, Class of 1958.  Jan was an artist and had many interests. Most notably, she was an accomplished horsewoman, raising and showing her horses in Eventing and Dressage.  She had a career with the US Postal Service, retiring after 25 years.
