Obituary
Stanley- Janice F. Coon, age 96, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home.
A private burial will be held at Overackers Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.
Janice was born in Canandaigua, the daughter of the late William and Ethel (French) Stoddard. On July 6, 1950 she married Raymond L. Coon.
Janice worked at Snell Fishing Tackle in Canandaigua, and later retired from Labelon in Canandaigua.
Janice enjoyed going to the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack Casino with friends, going out to eat and just spending time with friends. She also liked putting together jigsaw puzzles.
Janice is survived by one son, James E. (Margaret “Peggy”) Coon of Naples; two grandchildren, Jessie Shafer of Penn Yan and Tyler Coon of Rochester; and several close friends.
Janice was predeceased by her parents; her son, Dennis Coon, on Sept. 24, 1992; and her husband, Raymond L. Coon, on August 28, 1995.
