Janet will be missed at the history room. I will always remember the many talks that she and I had about the village and surrounding areas. The reminder of you at the rummage sales at the church. May you RIP my friend.

I was very saddened to learn of Janet's passing. I first knew her as my 10th grade geometry teacher at Fairport High School in 1970. She was strict and serious and I was alittle bit scared of her. However, our next meeting was as her dental hygienist for nearly 40 years at Drs. Lederman & Kramer's dental practice. We became good friends and shared many stories over all those years. She was the most lovely lady and one of my favorite patients. I am very blessed to have truly known her.

Heaven has gained a wonderful teacher. Miss Read was my math teacher at Lyons in the late 1950s. She was kind, calm, knew her math and her students ... a master teacher. Saddened to learn of her passing; happy to be reminded of a truly fine lady.

Miss Read was a great teacher who demanded that you work hard and learn even if it took you two years to pass the math

regents as it was in my case .I last saw her when she showed up at a Lyons class of 1962 class Reunion a few years ago. She still looked the same as she did when I was in high school.

Condolences to all who knew and loved Janet.
I always enjoyed listening to dad (Gerry Read) and Janet reminisce about family and teaching stories. She was a fascinating member of the family and will be missed.
