Janet A. DeBoover

Geneva- Janet A. DeBoover, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023.

Friends may call on Wednesday (Sept. 20) from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon    at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham, a funeral service will follow calling hours at Noon, with burial in Little Church Cemetery.

The DeBoover family invites family and friends to join them for a reception at the Stanley Fire Department, following the burial on Wednesday (Sept. 20).

Janet was born on March 22, 1936 to the late John and Margaret Oughterson Ripley. Janet spent most of her life on the family farm. Janet and her husband of 70 years, Vincent, spent many winters at their home in Lakeland, Florida.

Janet was a member of the Ontario County Farm Bureau, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Association, the Red Hat Society and the Finger Lakes 2-Cylinder Club.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish.

Janet is survived by four children, Louise Turner, Ronald (Martha) DeBoover, Allen DeBoover and Marie (Jerry) Hoover; six grandchildren, Jessica (Adrian) Gauss, David (Tracy) DeBoover, Daniel (Audrey) DeBoover, Theresa (Teo Courtney) DeBoover, Emily (Nick) Gillett and Michaela Hoover; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Peter DeBoover in 2022; son-in-law, Glenn Turner; brothers, Albert, Donald, Raymond and Gordon Ripley.
