Canandaigua- James W. Taylor, Sr., age 89, died Dec. 1, 2019.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday (Dec. 4th) at 2 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home, 2583 East Main St., Gorham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 256, 454 N. Main St., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
James was the son of the late Charles and Violet Chambers. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Kodak, after 22 years of service.
James enjoyed golf and traveling. After retirement, he and his wife settled in Southern Pines, NC, before returning to live in Canandaigua. He was a member of the Canandaigua American Legion.
James is survived by his wife, Shirley Woods Taylor; four children, Daniel Taylor, Kandace (Roy) Taylor Grau, Robert (Patricia) Taylor and James W. (Dawn) Taylor, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Mandy Taylor, Abigale Taylor, David Grau, Robert (Molly) Taylor, Jr., Jacqueline (Taylor) Edwards and Tiffney Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
