My heart goes out to all of Jimmy’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of sharing fun times with Jimmy in our season tickets at Shea’s and having cocktails at the Buffalo neighborhood bar. A stand up gentle man and fun loving guy will truly be missed. Sending my sincere condolences and heartfelt prayers.

Dear Rich and Jimmy's family. I was so sad to get the news of Jim's passing. I will always remember his hugs and the special talks we shared. I know my brother, Tony Gruka was waiting for you at the door to heaven. I am sure your both sharing a cold one and a plate of wings and a good laugh! We now have two angels watching over us!

Oh, Jacques, I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. The life he led before his illness was so admirable. I pray that, with time, the pain of loss eases and you are comforted by all the good Jimmy did. Sending love to you, Diane and your family.

Jim and I worked together several years ago at Dulles Expo. I enjoyed his tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, his interest in presenting a good show, and - even when the grumpy times set in - he was a stand-up guy. I will remember him and his smile. He is free of the disease and I do hope we will all see one another again one day. Rest in peace, Jim. Condolences and prayers to his family and all surrounding him.

David O’Connor from 988 Mill Road on Jul. 16, 2023

Deepest condolences from Jackie and I to all of Jimmy’s loved ones and friends. After knowing him in high school through Jacques, I was lucky enough to see him on occasion at the Buffalo Convention Center, where I tended bar for a decade.
Even if Jimmy wasn’t there, the Hale Northeastern team could always count on one or two drinks, “on the house.”
Truth be told, all of those drinks were “on Jimmy” - a great and highly competent guy. Godspeed.
