Obituary
Canandaigua- Harold K. Davie, age 87, died Sunday, September 16, 2018.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, with Military Honors.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Ontario County Humane Society (Happy Tails), 2976 Country Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424 (to honor his friends and neighbors, Ted and Sally Bateman).
Harold was born July 19, 1931 in Gorham, NY. He was the son of the late George and Louise Allen Davie.
Harold served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He deployed with his twin brother, Herbert Davie, and his brother, Gene Davie. Harold’s brother, David Davie, also served with the U.S. Army at a later date. His brother, Herbert was killed during the Korean War. Harold received the Purple Heart on behalf of his family, in honor of his brother’s sacrifice.
Harold enjoyed hunting. He especially enjoyed giving cart rides behind his lawnmower to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty R. Davie; four daughters, Debora (Fred) Frankish, Donna (Anthony) Leskovistch, Dianne (Steve) Siebert and Deanna (Peter) Bell; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
