Obituary
Pikeville, KY- Guarld Dean Cline, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
Friends may call on Saturday, (March 19) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham. Burial will follow calling hours in Rushville Cemetery.
Guarld was born on January 31, 1952, the son of the late Homer and Lou Maynard Cline.
He was a giving and caring father who cherished his children and grandchildren. He was a protective baby brother who adored his sister’s. He was a man that found true love with a woman who cherished him. He genuinely loved his family, friends, and his dog, Parker. His dream of returning to live on his family farm in Brushy became true where he spent his last years building his forever home. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, hunting, his hot rods and his motorcycles. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Guarld is survived by his life partner, Ruth Ann DeLuca; his daughter, Jessica (Ken) Welty; his son, Guarld Cline Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Anthony Welty, Amanda Cline, Collin Cline and Austin Welty; sisters, Bobbie (Charles) Norstrand and Pat Cline; the mother of his children, Janice Cline as well as nieces, nephews and his dear friend Anthony Carter.
Guarld was predeceased by his parents, his sister Eleanor and his brother Warney.
