Obituary
Rushville/Canandaigua- Georgene G. McKay, age 81, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2021 at the Keuka Comfort Care Home in Penn Yan, NY.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday (July 23rd) at 1 p.m. at Rushville Cemetery.
“Gene” was born in Canandaigua, NY on March 1, 1940. She was a graduate of Gorham Central School. Gene worked at the Ontario County Health Facility for many years.
Gene is survived by her sister, Joy Ann Powell; daughter-in-law, Lisa McKay; three grandchildren, Julia (Bryan) Wheaton, Amanda McKay and Scotty McKay; four great-grandchildren, Morgan and Landon Wheaton, and Joel and Jayce McKay; cousins, Gloria Miles and Marilyn Steffen; and good friends, Sylvia Clarke, Etta Stell and Carol Fox.
Gene was predeceased by her husband, Julian E. McKay; her step-son, Scott E. McKay; and her parents, Irving and Reta Powell.
