Obituary

Gorham/Canandaigua- Frederick H. Stell, 90, passed away on Dec. 9, 2022.

Friends may call Wednesday (Dec. 14th) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A funeral service follows at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.

Fred was the son of the late Carl F. and Esther Stell. He was retired from Sears & Roebuck. Fred was a member of the NYS Grange. He enjoyed square dancing, traveling and gardening. He especially enjoyed growing dahlias.

Fred is survived by his wife, Joan MacMullen Stell; several nieces and nephews; two brothers, Richard Stell and William (Etta) Stell; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Stell and Sandy Stell; and his pet cat, Rafi.

Fred was predeceased by siblings, Carl L. Stell, Ada Clark, Barbara Davis, Virginia Langmaid,  Donald Stell, April Raner and Jean Stell; sisters-in-law, Brenda Stell, Ruth Stell, and Janet Stell; and  brothers-in-law, John Langmaid and Kenneth Raner.

Aunt Joan,

I worked for Fred at Sears for many years. I always remembered the smell of his good smelling pipe, as he went past my desk. Very nice to work for him . He was a good boss to work for. My sympathy to Joan.
