Seneca Castle- Fred Sauer, age 89, passed away at home unexpectedly on Thursday, February 23, 2017.
Memorial contributions may be made to the House of John, 14 Spring St., Clifton Springs, NY 14432; or to the Ontario Humane Society, 2976 Co. Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
Fred was the son of the late Christine Reinhardt and Josef Sauer. He was in the U.S. Navy Seabee’s from 1945-1946. He loved working with flowers and being in his garden.
Fred is survived by his son, Karl (Marie) Sauer; daughter, Jill Sauer; and two grandchildren; Kory Wade and Delaney Sauer.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce M. Sauer (Tomion).
