Obituary

Middlesex – Faye J. Brodose, age 79, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at F.F. Thompson Hospital.
September 13, 1930 – April 17, 2017

After a long, successful, happy, and fun-filled life, George Henry died on April 17, 2017 at home, where he wanted to be.
George was a farmer, a businessman, and an entrepreneur, working in the dairy business for many years and starting a couple of ventures of his own. He was a pioneer in the computerization of dairy nutrition and feeding programs. He owned and operated a horse farm in Vermont. And most recently, before retiring permanently, he provided equine therapy services to race track and private clientele. He also served as the Gorham Town Historian for several years, which was a labor of love.

George had a lifelong passion for horses, and a love of dogs and cats. He always had horses in the barn, a dog or two at his side, and a cat on his lap. And he loved to sit in his barn and watch the barn swallows come and go, season after season.

He is survived by a large, loving family: his wife, Mary Persson; his sister, Marge Hoffman; his children, Kieth (Terry), Karen (Charlie), Anita (Tom), and Annie (Brian); nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. And a long life’s worth of friends and family too countless to list. There were many who loved him.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22 at 11:00 am, at the Reed Corners Federated Church.

Donations can be made to the Crystal Beach Fire Department, 4468 East Lake Rd., Canandaigua, NY 14424; or the American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman St., Rochester, NY 14620.
