Obituary
Penn Yan – Evan Y. Pero, age 35, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday (July 14th) at 7 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Yates County, 1216 Rte. 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527; Keuka Comfort Care Home, 35 Rte. 54, Penn Yan, NY 14527; or the Penn Yan Area Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 272, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Evan was born May 31, 1982 in Geneva, NY. He was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy. He had worked at the Motts Plant in Williamson. Evan was a thinker, book lover, music lover, philosopher, in a strange land.
Evan is survived by his parents, Edwin and Jean Dillon Pero; one brother, Jake Pero; maternal grandmother, Eva Dillon; five aunts, Betsey (Chuck) Kent, Carol (Ralph) Bourne, Theresa (Jerry) Betts, Anita (John) Buchinger and Gail Davis; four uncles, Chris (Heather) Pero, Vincent Pero, Clyde Dillon and Cliff Murphy; and several cousins.
Evan was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Edwin David Pero and Betty Ann Pero; his maternal grandfather, Darwin Clyde Dillon; and his aunt, Mary Murphy.
