Obituary
Rushville- Eugene A. Gruschow, 79, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Keuka Comfort Care Home in Penn Yan.
Friends may call Wednesday (April 26th) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday (April 27th) at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Rushville. There will be a Reception following the funeral service at the Rushville Fire House. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday (April 29th) in Sunnyside Cemetery, Williamson.

Gene was the son of the late Alfred and Doris Gruschow. He farmed all of his life. He was also a machinist, who had worked for Rando Machine, and retired from Labelon in Canandaigua, after 17 years of service.
Gene enjoyed making toy tractors, and any parts in his machine shop. He also loved listening to the Crooked Lake Fiddlers.
Gene is survived by his wife, Carole Williams Gruschow of Quail Summit; two children, Todd (Nancy) Gruschow and Doug (Patti) Gruschow; three step-children, Glenn (Denise) Williams, Dale (Maria) Williams and Lynn Williams; four grandchildren, Brian (Jen) Gruschow, Eric (Mariana) Gruschow, Adam Gruschow and Kyle Gruschow; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Wesley; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia Goodstine and Linda Murray; five brothers, Norman (Carol) Gruschow, Charles (Ann) Gruschow, Paul Gruschow, Vernon Gruschow and Mark Gruschow; one sister-in-law, Judy (George) VanCampen; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Scooter.
Gene was predeceased by his first wife, Dolores Morganthaler Gruschow; his second wife, Joyce Gruschow; and by one sister, Caroline Rogers.
