Obituary
Dorothy L Bodine Smith of Middlesex passed away on 7/24/2021.
Born 7/26/1937 in Penn Yan, NY, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, William A. Smith, and her parents, Melvin A. and Beatrice M. Chase Bodine. She also was preceded in death by her brothers: Charles (Dottie), Clayton (Elsie), Melvin Jr. (Joan) Weyburn (Jean), Mansel (Dorothy), and Lloyd Bodine, and sisters: Ruth (Gerald) Townley, Elma (Charlie) Swingle, Edna (LeRoy)Gilbert, and Marjorie (Cal) Rudd.
Dorothy is survived by several nieces and nephews, and considered her niece, Kammy Rudd Popiwczak, and nephew, Kevin Rudd, as the children she never had.
Dorothy was an avid grape grower in her younger days, and was famous for her delicious and beautifully decorated cakes. She was also known for her love of animals, and would save any creature that needed her help.
Dorothy’s burial in Hillside Cemetery in Dundee will be private.
